CoVibeFusion collects information you provide when creating your profile, including your GitHub username, skills, interests, and collaboration preferences.
1.2 Analytics & Usage Data
With your consent (via cookie banner), we use PostHog analytics to understand how users interact with our platform. This includes:
- Page views and navigation patterns
- IP addresses (for geolocation, fraud prevention, and analytics)
- Browser type and device information
- Session recordings with privacy masking (all form inputs are masked)
We do NOT track you if you decline cookies. IP data is used solely for analytics purposes and is not shared with third parties.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to match you with compatible developers, facilitate communication, and improve our matching algorithms. Analytics data helps us understand user behavior and improve the platform experience.
3. Data Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase with Row Level Security policies. Analytics data is processed by PostHog (EU region) with privacy-preserving defaults. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
4. Your Rights
Under GDPR and CCPA, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request deletion of your data (via Settings → Delete Account)
- Export your data (via Settings → Export Data)
- Withdraw analytics consent at any time (clears cookies and stops tracking)
